Egyptian Museum, the Pyramids and money savings

Egyptian museum is my favorite sight in Egypt. Egyptian over 5000 years of history, numerous relics and antiquities from almost every period of ancient Egyptian history deserve your at least one day visit. The museum doesn't have an AC and has a very poor and over priced cafe. That means you have to get out of the museum and cross street to find a cafe with AC. First arriving tourists freak out of street crossing in Cairo. Despite my 20 years of life living in an urban city of China, crossing street in Cairo is quite of a stunt.
If you know nothing about Cairo, you must know "the Pyramids". I know that's the only reason for some people to come to Cairo. I wonder why..... For me, the Pyramids is the last reason. I went to visit three pyramids in Giza (Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure) and the Sphinx. They are stunning structures though there's not much to do but walking around and taking some photos.
What tourists complain most in Cairo is scams, rip-offs and pushy touts. I learned that with some common sense and a little research, a lot of scams can be avoided. It costs me 1.75EP (Egyptian Pound) bus fees for the round trip to the Pyramids VS. 100EP(arranged by hostel for a shared ride) or 400EP for a cab by a scammer cab driver. Most tourists don't even know there's public bus going to the Pyramid! The Pyramid has the worst touts in the world. The best way to deal with them is to pretend not understand English and blurb some Chinese or Spanish words!
