It's Good Friday! I called Art and Kim at the last minute for a day trip to Temecula and Julian since I always wanted to check out these two towns.
Temecula is a winetasting place. We stopped at old town area for lunch. The old town is very stereotype. We started our wine tasting at the "Cougar" winery just for the sake of the name. Art and Kim goofed at the warehouse-like winery piled up with all the barrels. Art elaborated enough on the " Cougar" thing. Both Art and Kim got "pink Cougar" .We continued along the wine tasting route and stopped at a couple wineries. The last stop is one of the biggest wineries named Wilson Creek where everyone bought the famous" Almond Champaign". After wine tasting at three wineries, we felt it's about time to take off. We headed over to Julia. Julia is a little tiny mountain town famous for apple pies and wild fires. It's past 5:00pm when we got to the town. Most of places had closed. We strolled through the town and luckily we found a couple of applie pie shops were still open. We shared three slices of apple pies with ice cream. Within one hour, we found ourselves through the entire town and done with the sweet apple pies. We even exlpored the outskirts and found there are many hiking and biking trails minutes away from the town. What a simple and cute place!
It's a good spring day trip. We all had a great time and we had Sushi for dinner when we got back to town.
