A fresh Sunday morning after a couple days of rains is perfect for a 9 miles hike on San Mateo trail in Cleveland national park! It's southern California that offers whatever you want. It was a group hike. However, again I missed the crews and took the hike alone. It starts off Ortega Hwy. I always want to check out the trail and I'm glad that I finally went on the hike. It's a 9 mile hike, that took me 3.5 hours or so. I checked out the trail with a candy maker lady before I headed out and came back to her little candy shop after the hike. She asked me " did you go to the top" shockingly. I took this as a highly complement. I didn't buy her candy though. (oops). I met the group my way up to the peak and on their way back. I've never seen them again after that. Fresh air, pretty scene, trees and trail all help me sort out my thoughts during the hike. The hike seems pretty short for me and I pretty finished before I knew it.
It's time to explore new hikes. When the weather gets warmer, I would go back to mountains for backpacking.
