Finally I went to Grand Canyon! Wonder why I wait for so long. Grand Canyon is grand! No doubt about that!
Over the labor day weekend, my roommate Anna and I drove up to Grand Canyon without reservations. We were lucky that we got a room at one of the lodges. We took a 9 miles hike in the early morning to avoid the canyon heat and watched sunset. I took a little sunrise trip on the following morning. On the way back, we stopped by a small Indian featured town- William for food and checking out.
By the time we got back in the evening, it was over 100 degree in Orange County. So glad we got away from the heat and spent a cool weekend at Canyon ( it was high 80 only over there!)
