Train ride in Curitiba

The Serra Verde Express train ride is supposed to be the most scenic train ride in Brazil. The ride runs from Curitiba to a port named Paranagua with rain forest scenes. We got on the ride. The ride could be better with a clearer weather and English speaking tour guide though. It was pretty foggy on the way. I guess this weather is pretty typical at this season. It was cleared out a bit one the way back so we got to see the rainforest farther. It's pretty! The ride was scheduled to stop at the town before Paranagua and we had lunch there. It's a cute small town surrounded by river. There a number of restaurants on the river. I had "shred pork soup" (it's kinda of local specialty) serving in a pot. It's pretty cool. My travel buddy had his routine 'Salad Mista" ( a typical Brazilian Salad).
We met my friend Janinie's sister Mariana that night for dinner. Mariana lives in Curitiba and she speaks very good English. It's always cool to hang out with local friends when travelling. A great conversation and a great dinner. Afterwards, she drove us around the town and gave us a bit tour!
