Before we got on the Icefields Parkway and headed toward Jasper NP, we stopped at the Heritage Railway station for a peek of the 100 years old station. We didn't get to see the steaming engine nor get inside of the station as they didn't open till around noon.
The landscape along the Icefields Parkway is breathtaking. An immense range of high peaks and glaciers line up on both sides of the road. There are many lookout points along the way. We stopped at the Icefield Center for the famous glacier tour to the glacier Athabasca. A giant robust snow mobile vehicle took us to the the surface of the ice for 10 minutes experience of walking on the glacier.
After the Icefield center, we came into "Columbia Icefield" territory where more majestic glaciers densely scattered.

Saturday was my 35th birthday. My sister and Jim came over to my campground with coffee and birthday cakes. A love shape of necklace and cheerful shinny ear rings are the gifts from my dear sister. There's just nothing that can be better than this.
We took off in the morning. On the way back to Calgary, we stopped at a few small falls for some sightseeing. At Calgary, we had a delicious steak dinner at Keg for my birthday. Thus we wrapped up a week great trip in Canadian Rockie.
The majestic landscape, fun hikes and moments with love ones remain in memory for reminisce. While I could have crossed out one more item from my travel list, I had to transfer it to another travel list - my retirement RV trip. Thought this is pretty funny. I haven't really crossed out any items. I indeed have transferred all of them to my "future" travel list. The idea that I will eventually come back to visit more of the park made me less sad when I had to leave.
