Nakuru and Lake Nakuru Safari

It was rainy season in Nairobi. Scattered showers are common during the day. The rain brings cool and fresh air as well as saves the crops and people's life amidst the drought year. At Youth Hostel, I met a girl from Denmark named Christa. Christa loves to read and debate. She is quite friendly and smart. We clicked right away and decided to take a trip to Lake Nakuru. On July 25th, we took a Matatu to Nakuru. It was an easy and joyous bus ride. I immersed in the beautiful landscape and the deep thought along the way while Christa was drawn to the new book I recommended to her. We checked in " Sini Hotel" and had lunch at Ribbens restaurant. That afternoon I met two Swiss sisters, one American  and one local guy. I tagged along with them to " Summer Resort" for dinner and dance. Western music was played and grilled meat and beer were served.
As planned we book a Safari tour at Lake Nakuru. It's a typical open-roof jeep tour in the park. We saw " big five" and the white Rhino was the most impressive one. Lake Nakuru is home for tens of thousands pink Pelicans. The bonobos played tourists at the parking lot, jumping into the trucks and pulling out the food. It was a good time.
In the afternoon Christa headed back to Nairobi and I carried along my way to next city Kisumu. I stayed at " Hotel Palmers" and had a nice hot shower and caught a good night sleep.
