Getting to Sinai Egypt

I was given warnings from various sources that Egypt is not an easy and safe place to travel before I started to travel. I agree compared with Egypt, Jordan is much more manageable and less chaotic. Though I had expected a great deal of hustle and bustle, making my way to Sinai, Egypt turned out an exhausting trial. Surprisingly our ferry arrived at Nuweiba, Sinai on time. As soon as I got off the boat, I felt the extreme heat and the chaos going on in the ferry terminal. Our passports were taken without any reasons given (in English).Language barrier apparently became an issue here. We finally managed to get our passports back.By the time we finally made our way out of the ferry terminal, it was two hours after our ferry arrived. We immediately swarmed by a dozen taxi touts. In Egypt, business means touting tourists. Touts can be extremely persistent and aggressive. They often lie or play some tricks to get your business. We were told that there weren't any buses at this time. Then they started to fight among them and pulled our backpacks. After a few rounds of bargaining, we finally let one of them drop us off at Soft Beach Camp of Nuweiba. The taxi driver even touted us for different lodgings for which he will get commissions and made a few attempts to drop us off a different beach hotels.
Soft Beach Camp by Nuweiba beach is a nice and quiet beach resort right on beach with huts and other idyllic settings. After a long day of hustle and bustle, I need a soothing place badly.
We checked out in the following morning and planned to take a 10:30am morning bus to Dahab. Even before we started, we got into another scam by a taxi driver.Upon arrival to pick us up, he raised the previously agreed upon taxi charges almost to double. I was furious! Other three passengers seem not to mind paying the doubled price. They may either not care about the small bucks or fear to step up and speak for themselves. Either way, they are promoting the practise of scams. I very much disagree.
The morning bus was cancelled for no reason. Maybe the driver just decided to sleep in. As a result, Frank and I waited for 6 hours to catch 5:00pm bus. We finally arrived at Dahab around 7:00pm. I was very exhausted!
