Day 7 at New Orleans

I spent my last day at New Orleans at French Quarter. I strolled through the streets, shops and galleries which I'd been through quite a few times over the past a few days. Thought I will be leaving this town tomorrow, I all of sudden feel I will be miss this place. It's a traumatized town with special appeal.
Audubon park is a large comminty park located at updown neighborhood. I went to check it out that afternoon. It's a big green belt with bike and walking trails. It was Monday late afternoon. I've never seen so many people hanging out in a park in the States. This park was pretty packed with bikers, loggers and picnic-goers, which reminds me of China. With limited number of parks and large population, China's parks are always packed with people especially in summer evening. Resources in New Orleans like parks, schools and hospitals are sparser than most of American cities. I started to really appreciate the numerous green belts in Aliso Viejo. With a very small population, Aliso Viejo has over 20 parks and I haven't gone to any of them!
It's time to go home and appreciate for what I have and where I live. I will bring back the touch of New Orleans-the Jazz, the food, the streets and more lovely the people!
