Departure

It's Chrismas day and also our travel day. My travel buddy Martin and I fly out from LAX at 1:00pm. It's kinda of cool to drive on the street on Chrismas day. It's probably the least traffic day during the year. The flight route is to Dallas, connect another flight to San Paulo and then to Rio. Total trave time is around 17 hours. I absolutely have no problem keeping myself busy -I've planned some homework to be done on the plane ( the detail of where to go and what to do in Rio). We both have the material to read -lonely planet tells me everything! A trip like this is totally on our own and requires tons of research and self-education. It's never easy!
